Seems like a pointless exercise. You may be able to find a brand new one on ebay or at a Ford dealership. They are about $30, then put the cover from the new one on to yours.

How would you restore it anyways lol? Iron it to get the creases out then pull out the Faber Castell connector pens and fix up the white cracks?

While we're on this topic, can anyone help me, I'm after the master recording of the ED owners tapes.
I plan to remaster and release on CD under my own label, become rich and start selling blow to lindsay lohan in a cunning scheme to put her away when she cant pay up on a drug debt.

You posted that with the kind of pride that suggests you may think you are the only one that owns one.

There are about 200,000 ED's out there - all of which were originally sold with that tape.
