Just having a look at maybe someone chopping this kind of VK Group A type bulge onto the
front of my falcon.... Im kinda over the XR8 bulge and looking at something like
this maybe over the next couple of months on my spare bonnet.... Ive always wondered
how a Group A/Brock scoop would look.....

cheers in advance

Take this bonnet scoop:

GTO vents FTW!

GTO vents fail - they do completely the opposite of what you want to do with underbonnet airflow.

They don't even work on the factory monaros, so why bastardise a perfectly good bonnet for something that decreases the effectiveness of the cooling system?

XB GT nostrals is a major failure on any other than XB and XC's.

XC Cobra had similar scoop to the VH SS. If you want to look at other options, look at old Camero and Trans Am.

yeh that was gonna be another option.... I wouldnt keep the SS bottom completely
separate like the commo's above I'd do some form of fibreglassing to blend
it in a bit more....

Like you say John everyone gets the XR8 bonnet....

yeh matty reverse cowl is something I'll look at trying too.....

That photochop looks the goods, as long as there is a twin cam underneath it, requiring the extra bonnet height :P

thanks for the feedback guy's :D it's about 3/4 done to where i want it to be, a couple more small mod's to body & interior & then motor & gearbox upgrades next year ;)
looking tuff is one thing but i want to be able to back it up!!! most of the i6 turbo's i've seen at the mini meet's etc would chew my car up as it is at the minute  but i do alot of cruise klm's so don't want to go to wild.

oh!!! "EF ECTIV" congrat's on the mag spread....you got to be happy with that.

thanks fella's, it's all coming together with what i've got in mind as far as the looks side of it :)
next year i hope the performance side of things will be just as good ;)

t1MMy wrote:Nice work mate. Ronnie did a good job of that.....the 2nd time round ;)

look's good in pic's.....but as per the last 3 time's i've dropped it off to him he's had it for 3 day's each time & only get's things done on the last :| every time i've been to pick it up he's "just in the middle" of it!
the paint...as i said was just out of the booth....only to look at it after work to find spot's he's missed  (will fix myself)
i don't know if it's because he's had alot on ? but that's no excuse, i would recomend him to people...with the advise to write what you want with diagrams on paper so there is no mixup .
i will end up doing a respray of the car & get get the ding's done next year some time so was'nt to fussed overall about the paint. doing a custom grill but will have the standard one on over xmas break, all in all is coming together at last
