I've used Acetone ages ago in Holden 6's, mainly for better starting, they loved it. Up to about 5% is fine to use in a road car, and it does make a difference with the start.

Best use I've seen for Acetone was a 40/60 mix with Toluene powering Denzo's 300rwkw Pink Bits One-via drift car. Makes for big under-bonnet fires if it catches though..

Tried and tested high octane petrol, mostly Caltex in a Mazda 323... Higher octane really does have a noticeable increased performance effect on the ricer. Only just got my el Fairmont but it seems higher octane fuel has no performance boost and possibly reduced economy. Slightly off topic now but has anyone experimented with acetone as an additive, was regularly using 50ml per 25-30l on the rice and it seemed to drastically decrease fuel consumption and have a much smoother start up. Havent tried on the mont yet.

Dude unless you advance your timing in your EL running high octane fuel will do jack shit. - you could run 98 and 11 bottles of octane boost. wont do shit.
