There is a water drain in the firewall on the passenger side under the car. They can get blocked up and it leaks out into the foot well instead of onto the ground. Jack the car up and find the drain then get a screw driver and carefully check if it is blocked up. Should be an easy fix.

That happened in my old fairlane... Was a stuffed Heater core, and the heater box was leaking into the 'inside' of the car... But you'd notice your water level going down....Checked that lately?

if it is the heater core you will probally smell the colant or rusty water smell if you dont have good coolant.

i too pick Heater Core as the problem. out comes the dash! (this has happened twice in my EF, the 2nd time i just bypassed the core at the hoses, still not fixed 12 months on as its such an annoying job)
