Hi guys, I sold my EL about 5 months ago and have been driving a Territory (slug) around. I'm now looking at getting into an E Series again. I'm looking at an EF Futura 5 speed, it's had a bit of work to it, and produces around 170kw at the wheels. Question, how much would a stockish EL XR6 produce at the wheels? (just want to run some comparisons), and how much power would a BA XR6 produce at the wheels? Thanks.

Also if anyone is selling an E series for under 8k then let me know. Hope to get behind the wheel of these great cars. Cheers.

EL XR6 - 115rwkw or there abouts
BA XR6 - 130rwkw
BA XR6T - 190rwkw

rough estimates

as for the EF making 170rwkw... if its a genuine 170rwkw then it'd be alright.

Sounds mint. He's said he has dyno sheets. It has JMM head and cam work and Microtech race comp, bigger injectors, etc to name a few.

If its the JMM dyno, it's probably about 150-160rwkw realistically..

Also, JMM rate their DEV kits from 130rwkw to 170rwkw on the website, make sure he's not just going by that. DEV5 does not equate to 170rwkw just because JMM says so.

I'll find out more info one it.

Here's the link anyway...

It's a converted manual, but he says it's been re-enforced auto box. I had an auto box manual conv. before and the clutch pedal came loose and made all sorts of noises, also cracked the firewall.

Yeah it's just I don't really want to travel to Mildura (I'm in Syd) if it's going to be a dud. Besides, I have my eye on a BA XR6.

Pretty sure he lost his licence lol.
I bought a few parts of this guy once, and can tell you that it does have some serious grunt for a NA.

Genuine tickford bodykit, sunroof, 5 Speed, Lock Rite LOKKA, Hi-Tech stainless steel extractors, hi-flow cat, 2.5 inch mandrel exhaust, extreme heavy duty cushioned button clutch, JMM port n polished head, JMM cam, raised compression, 19's, low, dark tint, microtech MTX-8 ecu, bosch 440cc injectors
Im not sure if he still has all these mods still on the car, but when he did it was pulling 191rwkw, but wasnt sure if it was correct, simply because it seems to high, and the reason for the 440cc injectors was because he was builing a turbo engine in his shed, wouldlve been awsome.
I lived in mildura for 19 years and usually go back every couple of months. I remember driving beside him one day he and put it into a lower gear. It got moving pretty fast. Made alot of noise as well haha.
Im either driving my EA or my dads ego G6E Turbo :-D

That's awesome!

How many people though are gunna drive a few hours to look at a modded car, that most people would consider as exxy for its age. Not saying it doesn't have some good stuff going for it, but you really have to be lucky or patient to find that one person willing to really pay!
