Re-spraying stockies.....

Postby cranners » September 25th, 2007, 9:52 am

I want to re-spray my stockies GL055 BL4CK, because atm they have seen better days. What do i need to do to prepare them?? and is just the pressure pack cans from Autobarn going to do an ok job, or should i use a spray gun/air compressor thingo?!?

Any advice would be great!

Cheers

What's with the numbers replacing letters ?

Pressure pack will be fine. I'd give them a good degrease to get rid of all the brake dust and crap, then scrub them with hot soapy water. Leave to dry off, mask off the tires and go nutts with the pressure pack. Don't forget to to put something under them too.

Also personally I'd go with Satin black instead of gloss. What happened to your rims Paul ?

No worries Paul, obviously they'd be a lot easier to paint with the tires removed, but that's wayyyyyyy too much effort. Also stockiEF's advice is good too if you can't be bothered doing it your self. Slamming it would be good, but with your rims on it. ;) I'm over stockies.

      Good luck. :D
