Exhaust Places - Whats the go?

Postby get_an_ea_today » October 3rd, 2007, 12:53 pm

Hey guys - i have just visited 2 places to see if i can have one muffler removed and replaced with a pipe and they wont do it they have to replace the whole exhaust?? wtf i know you can because my mate has done it.

Any QLD members know a place in around Pine Rivers that can do this? Ive tried A1 Exhaust in Petrie and Mac's Muff's in Brendale.

Oh yeah i was told you remove the muffler near the tip to make the exhaust sound better is this true or is it the other muffler just near the diff?

Ya have to stop going to see people with no idea.

Try a smaller company who will as the customer wants not just sell you a whole system.

Also, why do you want your car to sound like a Commodore, I assume it's the rear one you are removing?

Rob Bliss Exhausts. he's at geebung and will do exactly what you want. my mates have rocked up asking for mufflers removed, resonators added and even custom intercooler piping made from a shite cardboard mockup they brought in. he did my exhaust and i cant say enough. i said i wanted a whole system except for headers. high flow cat converter and 1 muffler only. i said 'its gotta sound like hell on earth'. i came back and some kid [apprentice i guess, younger than me] hands me my keys with this grin all over his face. i was packing dacks cos i thought hed been flogging it, but i got to the car, turned it on and instantly got the same smile he had. it idled so tough i thought it was an 8 and when i left i couldnt wipe that stupid bloody smirk off my face for days. it was exactly what i asked for, hell on earth. :D
