Do you work for the company?

Im fairly keen and have the talent to do the job but my lack of a recognized degree might hold me back. I know more about PCs then all 3 of my mates who are currently doing the final semester of their IT diplomas.

dont under estimate your skills. I work with a team of people who all have their IT degrees... and here is old me, no degree working in IT Security. :D

Yeh, I have wanted to get into the IT field since I can remember thinking about my career. It just wasn't financially feasible for me to do a uni course or something like that. I ended up taking a business admin job at a hospital and 18mths later im the #1 IT guy on site doing all the IT maintenance and still getting paid as a "Receptionist"

Nope, I got the email from one of the recruitment companies I go through asking if I knew anyone who would be interested in the role.

Give them a call you have nothing to loose.

mate, i used to look after 95 franchised stores for their IT problems, also update their point of sale, network admin for the head office, and i was paid less then the receptionist.

fair enough i started with no qual's, but i kicked arse in my job, even if i say so myself.
