Damn, had my first accident last night....

Postby Rmyers » December 23rd, 2007, 10:50 am

Thank god i wasn't in Nwolb, but my daily is a little banged up . I was in the wrong, was about 10.00pm in a dark residential area, entering a round about i didn't take notice of a camry that had already entered. I broke but due to the slippery roads she couldn't stop in time and had a low speed collision into the camry rear quarter panel. Didn't cause major damage, but his rear quarter was dinged as well as his rear bumper.

Here's a pic of my damage, needs new headlight, bumper, quarter panel and bonnet, but ATM will just replace headlght and bumper while the bonnet and quarter can be bent back a little.

Oh well, shit happens....

Damn that sucks Steve!

At least it looks like an easy-ish fix for yours. Insured?

Ouchies :( I hope the guy in the camry wasn't a kent about it, and gets you some reasonable quotes for repair...

As you say though, thank FK you weren't driving NWOLB!!

Look at your car. Now back to mine. Now back to yours. Now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped buying dodgy cars and bought an ED, yours could be like mine. Look down. Back up. Where are you? ...You're on BoostedFalcon, reading the signature your signature could be like! Anything is possible when your car looks like my car... I'm on a computer.

I came back from overseas and she wouldn't start. I had a quick look and then closed the bonnet for a while. I took some time to tidy her up, fix the front bar, raise the front a bit etc. Once that was done we had another look at why she wouldn't start. Found no spark, so we replaced coil pack but that didn't do anything, then played around with the relay board and found one was rooted. Replaced that and she fired up!

Funny thing, my main problem now is that she is stuck on axel stands as i dont have a jack low enough to set the front back down :P. I had a scissor jack somewere but cant find it, gunna haveto pinch one from someone :P

Had a quick look today and came to the same conclusion. Will just screw the bumper back in place, not fussed at what the daily looks like.

if you screw from the inside you should be able to attach it to the mounts without seeing any screws from the outside. i did that on my EA's rear bar (dont ever reverse onto ramps)
