Have you been to an FPV day, most are not 'show' cars.

yeah i went a few years ago. i know alot arnt show cars but there is a lot of nice cars there. for example one of the first things you notice on a car is its color/paint. and most the cars on there have crap paint etc etc. there is very very few cars on here that have the full package IMO.

I was @ the last FPV day & remember seeing your XR there, was a highlight of the day for me, otherwise it was pretty boring.

I guess most FPV people like boring factory car's tho.

I reckon they need a Dyno comp of the latest GT 335's vs older models to make it intersting :)

I enjoy seeing clean stockers. I remember the EF XR6 with like 13,000km and completely clean undercarriage. I'd pay entry to see E-Series like that.

BUHHHTTT if it was just going to be beaters like my green EA everywhere, I'd be reluctant. I actually am looking forward to seeing all the B-Series and F-Series FPV's there, and hopefully some clean X-series.

An 8 year old BA GT in concourse condition would be more impressive than someone's daily driven EF XR6.

theres an easy fix to this idea.....

If i remember correctly a FPV vehicle should have an FPV Build Plate in the engine bay.

Therefore if any E-Series here contains such a plate it should be welcome no matter what the age or condition.

However i have a feeling very few e-series would contain such a plate and therefore should be denied access to show at an "FPV" show and shine.

Think we should park the shitters up the back fellas and give it a miss.

thats why i avoid half of all ford day now.

i know what ya meen about really clean cars tho sunny.
afd last year or the year before there was an xe i think it was.
with an old granny sitting behind it knitting and it still had the original tyres and everything. fuckin clean as like new. think the group i was walkin around with. we all stopped to have a look.

yeh but after all its their event which is specializing in FPV's so therefore people know it will be kinda like going to a dealer :)

i guess what i mean is look at it like you look at Holdens with a Chev badge.......who you kidding its a fuking holden!!
just like a E-series is a Eseries.....no matter what you dress it up like its still a base model eseries that came off in the millions and got purchased by millions.....ford prob dont even know how many they made....got lost in the normalness.....FPV is supposesd to be that one step up...like a limited addition.

just wouldnt wanna be the laughing stock thats all :)

the FPV show and shine isnt strictly for FPV's...
i thought that was obvious by the amount of Tickford/old school cars that went?
