Front and rear seats, so I'm not sure if that's too big for aus post?

Yep.. I'd suggest stacking them on a pallet and wrapping them up and send it with a freight company such as Toll, Border Express etc

Transdirect I have found to be cheap and reliable.

I'd recommend Pack & Send for the home theatre system, not that cheap, but they do a good job.

For direct to public couriers:
Pack and Send are great for fragile/valuable items
E-Go are very cheap but their service can be a bit sub-standard at times

lol, classy.

If you pack the item onto a skid it'll be handled better, because it's fork loaded/unloaded, less chance of someone dropping it.
You'll probably get a better price if you have a mate who works somewhere that uses couriers a lot. I got a BTR and stall from Sydney to rural SA for $60 through someone elses TNT account.

I used to work at a Pack & Send for a bit, their passion for packing and sending is borderline scary.
