Down Time Details

Postby EFFalcon » January 10th, 2008, 12:34 pm

Hi Guys,
Just giving you a heads up on some potential down time in the coming week.
Since i did the last update on this forum there has been a number of updates.
We're currently running RC5, which has since gone to RC8 and then Gold (Final Release)

I've done a test on the old database and the update path is very easy (unlike the last one)
should see minimal outages, i'm hoping to do it during the morning (possibly tomorrow - Friday)

Once its fully upto date we will be able to implement a lot more addons.

Also whilst on the topic,
the outages over the last few days have been frustrating to say the least.
DNS problems meant we couldn't get near either sites (eafalcon.com and eseries.com.au)
these appear to be resolved but since then we've moved servers.

eafalcon.com points to the 'older' forums, they have been locked out and a message uploaded to tell people to come here.
Once i've got the stuff i need eafalcon.com will point directly here as per normal.

Cheers, John.

Nice, using final release software should help with stability. I hope there aren't many users that have been discouraged.

I'm "supposed" to be working during all of my 1500ish posts.

If each post takes 1 minute of reading the thread and 1 minute of posting that's 3000 minutes, which is 51 hours. That equates to 1.42 working weeks to me.

I'm only ever on here while at work. Helps the day go by quicker and gets me some laughs.
