should i lose my boot spoiler?

Postby nstg8a » May 7th, 2011, 12:58 pm

my ghia goes into the panelbeater soon to get the rear end fixed, the 'beater has given me the choice of fixing and spraying the rear spoiler and keeping it original, or removing the spoiler and filling the holes.
i was never a fan of removing the spoiler until i saw the pics of this

and mine pre damage

i cant decide :banghead:

Forget everything you know about what other people are doing and do something original. Actually, make a huge effort and do things your own way

I'm going the opposite. Your car looks great as it is. Keep it. It's not a massive over the top wing it actually suits the wheels and kit.

yeah the EF kits door pods are to small compared with the EL's, and they need the spoiler on there to finish it off so to speak, or get some EL door pods and ditch it!

are the door pods the only difference? i thought the el sideskirts were a fair bit chunkier than the ef ones?

Yeah that too, and the rear clip aswell, but dont think you would notice too much cos most people look at the pods to tell what model kit it is, well I do anyway!

I say take the wing off, it was the 1st thing I did with my old ef when I got it,

Ef/l's look so much cleaner without them  what wheels are they in the 1st pic?

Ditch it for sure, also helps make it look lower I reckon... its not exactly a nice spoiler either, pretty plain :glare:

I don't think any spoilers suit EF / EL's.

That sounds like a good idea. Then you could stock up on some rims and totally change the look of your car as you please, haha, and maybe get an EL grill and go further.

It only really works if you have the back really low, but yeah I'd lose the boot spoiler.

cant really lower the back any more cos when the tanks are full the tyres damn near rub, and every bump they do rub.

i should get some pics with the tanks full, its sits gooood

those pics i think it only had like 1/4 tank petrol, and sfa gas.
