I've had lots of different jobs, Furniture (Home) removals, builders laborer, lawn mower, tree removals, GLORIFIED COUNCIL WORKER, storeman, storeman doing retail selling (furniture), waste collection and Furniture Salesman most recently (had no storeman so had to do that too). Still wouldn't have the slightest clue what I would like to do long term.

I have also thought about the automotive industry, but I get frustrated just removing over tightened oil/filters on my mums car*, I think I'd smash more cars then I could fix.

Why did you quit couldnt you spin the pole properly?

I saw a mechanics job advertised up north the other day and it was paying $1200 p/w + rent assist. Personally i enjoy doing mechanical work and i even enjoy working on my own cars, yes i am only a 3rd year getting paid crap money but i feel that even in 5 or more years i will still be enjoying what i do.
If people ask you to work on their cars and you dont want to do it, tell them to piss off, its simple.
I dont understand why all the guys that are mechanics on here became mechanics/has been a mechanic for close to 10 years if they absolutely hate the shit, im sure you guys had some idea that you didnt like it long before now, so why dont you do something about it.
I know that money makes the world go around and all that crap but i think you should do something you enjoy not something that pays well.
