you can swap the head and cam over no worries, using the standard reg etc will be fine.
to make the most out of it you'll probably want to get a tune.
for that you'd possibly want to look at something along the lines of an EL ECU + J3 chip. (to enable tuning, make it manual, and disable smartlock in the ECU)
