Put a deposit on this bad boy today. 283rwkw, ran 12.4 at willowbank a couple of weeks ago. Process West front mount, piping kit, BPR Airbox, redrilled injectors, ZF tune by Elite, 100cpi Cat installed and middle muffler has been deleted (and it sounds like shit, I will get another muffler installed). Fulcrum lowered springs, very good nick all round apart from front bar which needs a touch up, 20x10 rear rims with 275, **** knows how wide the fronts are but the 245s are stretched (looks shit IMO, will be the first thing I change)

Will keep it as is for a while, maybe ditch the 20's for Factory 19's or something, then I'll do fuel pump/injectors/actuator mod/exhaust/valve springs and aim for 340rwkw. I will also maybe get the ZF tune adjusted as it shifts like nothing else (awesome when at WOT but a bit painful when cruising). Set of Bilstein shocks or some H&R Coilovers and a set of swaybars, a brembo upgrade and that'll do me just fine.

Why ford didnt put LSD's in I have no idea. So probably add a tru trac to that. Hopefully will have it all sorted within 18 months.

Almost bought my mechanics FG GS 315 that spat out 360rwkw with just a basic tune and catback. Couldnt quite justify it this time around, a 335 GTE will be the next car in my garage circa 2015 though - what a weapon donk that Miami is.

Those 20s look shithouse in photos, I farken hated them until i seen them in the flesh and I got movement.

I doubt they will stay though. Licorice straps aren't good on brisbane roads. Need moar sidewall.

Nice!!

Haven't noticed any modded ones on the streets yet. Haven't seen too many black ones either, but it's definitely the best colour choice IMO.

Love to see this one boosting past me one day.

Exactly what I plan to own some day, except in white. Looks the goods man, but yeah not real keen on the wheels glad to see they are going for some nice 19's :)

Paul - Crewman has lunched 5 spigot bearings thus far (be it bush or roller type) and I traded it because I was farking over it.

I am thinking maybe when original spigot let go it has messed with the input shaft somehow.

i went and took the wife to see it today, she said i was gay for thinking the wheels should be changed.

And so we will see once it's in the driveway. They definately look much better in the flesh.

Had a look at a few AFF threads, definately will look at new diff bushes, and actuator/dump pipe mods pretty soon. Trutrac to follow that. One of the dudes over there is pulling 390rwkw with a GT35X turbo, front mount, injectors, di fillipo zorst and all the other associated bolt ons.

I'd be happy to run a mid 11, and I would like to do it with either the stock or 35/40 spec turbo - I prefer as little lag as possible.

will definately tame down the ZF tune - it's pretty wild when up it.

Great cars, was on my shortlist last year though were a bit pricey at the time.

I agree though, it does suck that they are so unwilling to fit LSDs these days. My EA had one, as did some '80s Nissan Pulsars. But apparently modern cars with several times as much power don't. Can't yet justify the expense for my Holden though.

Enjoy, and keep us posted.

Very nice pickup mate, there becoming very affordable nowadays. The 20's are not too bad, they'd have to grow on you I reckon. Thumbs up on the TrueTrac, best thing I did to my Fairlane you'll love it!

Very nice mate! Always liked these.. they are starting to become a bit more affordable too.

Im not totally up to speed with the FG-T's but 280kw seems a bit low for those mods? Depends how hot it was last time and how they drove it but you could be up for a high 11 already?

dont the fg turbos run out of puff at like 300-320rwkw?

what boost is it running currently?

looks good but yeah the wheels could do with a change, not that they look that bad but they dont suit the classiness of the car imo.
cheers josh.

I was under the assumption they went down to a gt30 from the gt35 on the fg's?

as above, 320 and they are done. Mine currently is running about 12 pounds. the 280 odd rwkw run was done in November when ambient was about 35 degrees. I am confident it'll do much better come winter.

Wheels are staying for now, everyone who seen thecar on facebook said they wheels were shit, I went to a gathering tonight and quite a few of those people were there, come out and told me it looks awesome and I shouldn't touch it. The boys at work today rated it as well, actually not one person who has seen it in the flesh thinks they suck.

I will attempt to get some better shots of it soon, my neighbour is a bit of a gun photographer.

Anyway, two days into ownership, and i'm loving it. Got me farked how anyone deals with anything north of 350rwkw on the street, i am having a whale of a time with <300. No LSD is as gay as aids though :(

The previous owner reversed the polarity of the factory sub and it cranks really well as opposed to what it used to, people bag the premo sound but I don't mind it actually. Probably won't ever touch it (i'm getting old, usually i'm first to throw good SQ splits/amps/subs into any car I own where possible - hilux/crewman never got the subs but had some pretty serious front stage). I cant crank it anyway when my son is on board, and I am usually on the phone if i'm driving around on my own.

Exhaust with centre muffler deleted sounds shithouse, I cannot wait to get a muffler installed. Will look at getting full aftermarket dump/exhaust probably after tax time, that will mean wastegate mods and retune. Would be silly then to not look at a bigger turbo, then maybe valve springs, fuel pump, surge tank, tru trac, brembos, bilsteins etc. I will have to draw the line somewhere. I think that maybe, i'll just get the zorst and wastegate sorted, and live with whatever the little turbo can reliably give me. A 320rwkw daily driver is still heaps of fun.

should just get coilovers rather than bilsteins...

dont get me wrong i had bilsteins in my old ba, they were fucking amazing compared to any pedders shocks and shit like that, but being a family car the lack of adjustment on the bilsteins might make it a bit rough for everyday driving, especially with the 20s on it!

can get coilovers for under 1500 these days for those things and i couldnt immagine bilsteins being much less than that if not more

I have thought about coilovers.

Bilsteins are not that expensive, pretty sure all four shocks will come in under a grand.
