I've got plenty of work to get through, but sometimes (often

) I get stuck or frustrated so I surf the net. Hence my post count on here
I'm the only design engineer where I work and I'm the only one who uses/knows how to use the design software here. If I get stuck with something, I'm farked as I have to wait up to several days for external help via a forum, or I have to figure it out myself through left-field thinking (read: fudging).
Haven't fallen asleep at work yet. In the office I'm either actually working on a project, on the net, or chatting up the hot 30somethings. When i'm outdoors I'm either on the road with a survey partner/another engineer, or surveying/inspecting a site up in whoop whoop where there's no mobile coverage & you need Gran Turismo experience to negotiate the roads out there. One of the guys I worked with nearly stacked once because we took a dirt hairpin at a "spirited" speed in a BA ute, forgot about the toolbox & tripod in the back, which slid across and dented the ute tub OUTWARDS (whoops!), the shock of which sent the ute v-e-r-y sideways
And the pub lunches are awesome too. Speaking of which, we're having one today!

My worst effort with keeping awake was an 18 hour study bender before my last-exam-ever at uni. I can't remember how many Red Bulls and Vs I had (8? 10? 12?), the same amount again in coffee, and I had several No-Doz on top of those. Also went through half a pack of cigarettes with mates I was studying with. Smashing down two virginias at 3am at uni while jacked up on caffeine is an exhilirating feeling. Having your bowels convert into a nuclear reactor the next day due to all the coffee & sugar and having kidney pains that make you think you're a transplant harvest victim dying in an iced bathtub somewhere in Hong Kong aren't cool though. I have no idea how I made it home safely after than exam, all I remember is sitting on about 150 most of the way scared shitless that I was going to pass out
