What Car Shows Float your Boats ?

Postby GHOST » July 16th, 2007, 6:09 pm

Anytime I post up Autosalon on AFF everyone bags it as there is alot of ricers there, well mainly ricers.

I go to it as there are some Boosted Fords and Commodores.........plus its a great perve :D and I like to see the Sound Demo Cars and see whats for sale.........

I also go to Summernats, thats about the best it can get IMO unless you want to go to SEMA un the USA.........lol

Went to Shep Nats last year and was not impressed, guess i should of gone to it when it first started up before it was targetted by out of town police.

So these are the Shows I like (not in any order):-

Summernats (Canberra)
Shannons Car Show (Sandown)
Charger Club of Vic (Carribean Gardens)
AutoSalon (Melb Exhibition Centre)

Of course there was the ALL FORD DAY (Geelong) but that was cancelled :( this year

What shows do you guys go to and like?

I enjoy Autosalon, the Ford vs Holden shows and most other types of car shows.

I don't really like Springnats.

AutoSalon is too expensive, Springnats went downhill fast and I ended up going there when it was pretty much shit and wasn't impressed much either.

The normal Melbourne International Motor Show is pretty good though. I went every year for 10 years then didn't go in '05 and go on/off since.

Same here. I used to love going, but for some reason I got over it.

easternats is deffinately one of the best.
having a track to play on gives it an advantage.
SUmmernats is ok, but not enough high speed hoonage.

Isn't Calder Park having something like Easter Nats in Jan, 2008 where you can drive on the track?

Added details here:- http://www.eafalcon.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=90

Looks like FUN!!!

I've never been to eaternats or summernats so I don't know. But I've been to autosalon a few times I reckon it's pretty good, there's some mint cars there, few shockers too but you get that everywhere.

I second with mr.dodge, shep spring nats suck the big one due to the fact they got a shitload of melbourne cops down n had about 70+ cops out for the w/e and had deffect stations up n down the mainstreets. they even deffected cars that where on trailers. ah wtf so if u actually make it to the event and pay the heafty price to get in to see less than a couple hundred cars n a measly burn out pit it turns out to be a good event... not!
