oz e losers will never have CAMS affiliation. Aaron you're right, it's a social club about cars. How many 19 and 20 year olds want to be in a club with AGMs and all the shit that goes down at them? I'm in a club of the like (nothing to do with cars) and it's fuckin serious business. No one wants to do that shit just to cruise on saturday night and meet people to fix cars with while sinking piss and having a BBQ.

The way I see it there's two types of members at ozE losers. Oldies with E-series and younguns with E-series. Most of the younguns will **** off when they get enough coin to buy something better. Some will become oldies, either out of some crazy idea that E-series are the best car ever made and there's nothing else to own or because they're poor ****. Which is the same reason the oldies are there. The ones who are there out of poverty can't afford the shit CAMS affiliation brings. The ones who think E-series is the peak of automotive engineering won't be able to drive for shit and will give up when they get their arse spanked by Corollas.

I'm on here aswell as OzEruisers and Fordmods and VicFords and others...

I'm 34 and have had various E series during the last 10 years (was a die hard X series man) and while owning a number of other later model cars i still prefer driving my ED - While i don't attend many cruises etc due to family constraints i really enjoy the wealth of information each of the forums provide.

All of these forums have a great following of staunch E-Series supporters who take great pride in the cars they drive, like myself. And while some may have a difference of opinion on some of these forums, it seems personal differences have seperated a number of enthusiasts from conversing about their rides in some instances.

So... without hoping for some sort of resolution between the different forums, i do hope that the some of us who are here to enjoy driving and owning thier old but loved E-Series can converse between forums without losing credential for independently posting on other forums.

PS - my mrs wishes i would just 'fvck that old car off! it's a watse of time and money!' BBBWWWAAAAAAAAA

Do you want to show yourself here Jase?

Sunny, I did not beg, I requested with reason, and was kindly allowed back on the forums.
I have not posted as I have not been on much, I am a member of fordmods and hardly post there either.
Between work and stuff happenning at home (cleaning up personal matters since mother in law died) I have not had much time be on many forums at all.

I do however since most of the other factors are now more under control hope to be able contribute and share what knowledge I have.

Jason

You guys can always drop me a PM I should get an alert via email and I will then check your question and post an answer.

Also my work IP is banned on this forum so I can only access from home when I get a chance to jump on-line, but thats fine as I dont get on forums much of late at work.

Also I only tend to use firefox but for some strange reason i logon, it says logged in, then says i need to login, so I did not bother to much about it, figured maybe my account got set to no post, but IE works after testing it tonight.

Jason, that is a URL thing rather than a banning thing.

I have the same problem, but after talking to John, I found out the boostedfalcon.net URL is the best to use to look at the forums. For some reason I still get eseries.com.au and eafalcon.com URL's in my e-mail reminders, but only the boosted ones work properly. I also use firefox, so it could be that as well.

It is a bit sad about all the splits, but I think it had to happen. Join a 'real' car club, and you'll soon realise all the fighting over the net isn't 1/2 as bad as what happens in CAMS affiliated clubs. I bet a lot of the 'younger' members wouldn't say 90% of the shit they say on the forum face-to-face.

A few SA members (inc. me) used to go to Falcon Car Club of SA meetings, which is mainly 40-70 yo's, and even they get so worked up that you expect a punch up at times. As Rob said to me on MSN, imagine if they were 20yo's, it would be war! lol.

When you start paying money for something, you want it to be perfect, I do, and nothing is ever perfect for everyone, so there will always be conflict.

I also think the 'war' (which to me seems a VF/AFF v boosted fight) has more to do with some members attitudes, and wanting to be some sort of elite club like BSR on FF.com etc, but as pointed out by Rob above, e-series Falcons are cheap as shit now, people who want cheap cars to modify and go fast are in a similar boat to people who can't afford a BA (lets be realistic MN, Jason, Wulos etc etc) and the 2 groups have fairly different opinions on pretty much everything. I think he hit the nail right on the head.

Have a farkin beer, then have another, then 7 more, and laugh about it! lol.

Er....E-series are the best car ever made....? Just enough stuff in them so they are good to drive (ABS, fuel injection, power windows, power steer, a/c) without any of the crap that goes into later cars (Stability control, traction control, extremely strict emissions laws, fcucked up styling that means lane changing is a lottery, because you can't see out the back past the boot lid that's 5 feet off the ground, hundreds of kilos of extra weight)

Best cars evar made (excluding exotics):

E-series with lokkas
E-series with turbos
N/A E-series
Supras
Silvias/180s/200sx's
Skylines

Everything else is crap or the speed/dollar ratio is too skewed towards the 'dollar' side of the equation.

I like my speed/dollar ratio. $300 for a car that can reach over 180km/hr and required minimal work to be roadworthy. How many others can say they pulled that off!? I'd say E-series are the perfect cheap drag cars.

Tis true. E-Series = cheap and good.
I love the fact that parts are cheap for my EB. And they're just so nice to drive
If only turbo mainfolds and intake manifolds become as cheap for E-series as they are for skylines..

As for this whole thing with AFF and Boosted, its probably just a natural thing that 2 clubs discussing relatively similar things turn against each other. The fact that they charge $20 to view cruise meets etc is fair ghey. But as many ppl have said now, each to their own.
I'm a member on AFF, but dont really post cos its time wasted not posting here :D

^^^ 2 clubs turn against each other? Err, history lesson 101: the AFF-controlled OzECruisers club came about after E-Series was ungraciously kicked off the forums. OzECruisers (nee. EANL) was formed by AFF specifically to fill the vacuum left behind by E-Series, and it was set up intentionally so that E-Series members would be poached to help bolster their membership numbers. Look how things have turned out for them :-/ one crap GOR cruise and a big internal split (VicFords) in their six months of existence.

I think you're right on the money there ;) heljas/grimus ftl. I know not everyone HAS to buy a BA/BF, but ya can't say you have never seen some elite-ism on there from the BA/BF owners, then people like MN, heljas, wulos etc want to be elite like them by making people pay money to get a sticker and no CAMS affiliation.

Jason/EA2BA - I don't think (and have never said) someone is a loser for driving an EA, and being a mod on oEc. However I'll put $5 on it not lasting, and the club never getting CAMS affiliation like they claim they are.

I like my speed/dollar ratio. $300 for a car that can reach over 180km/hr and required minimal work to be roadworthy. How many others can say they pulled that off!? I'd say E-series are the perfect cheap drag cars.

Does yours run 10's bro?

Would you expect it to? :D

If anyone has pulled 10's in a car they've spent less than 5k on, I applaud them!

What does having a tall diff ratio have to do with drag racing? Pretty much any car can do 180km/h with enough road, doesn't mean they're drag cars. XD's are the perfect cheap drag cars nowdays. Factory 351 clevo's, C4/FMX, leaf spring rear that takes a 9" and Cal-tracs easily, and they weigh nothing.

Whatever you reckon. Note, I did say that me, myself and I think that E-series are great drag cars. Yeah, maybe a lot of cars can hit 180 with enough road, but how much is "enough"? All I'm saying is that with E-series, you get lots of power for little cash.

I don't think id buy any other Ford than my EB - its nothing special but i just love the lines and style of it. The rear 1/4 is very nice..

BA/BF's don't do it for me - Id like an F6 BF but GT's can and will lick my balls.
I can only imagine the satisfaction of smoking cars of the likes in a 92 EB.....money can't buy that shiz
