Anyone into diecast models

Postby waghoonEF » March 11th, 2010, 5:14 pm : Cathous Likes this post

I thought I would show my latest creation. It started as a Biante EF futura and is now an XR6 with sunroof, BA bulge and full BA GT interior.

its roughly 1:24, probably a little larger.

the bonnet is a seperate piece.

there is: body, bonnet, frontbar, rear bar, sideskirts.

its a rough plastic finish at the moment... cost over $150 to get made.

I'm looking at getting some smaller coloured ones done, which in theory can be done to match anyones car. but would wouldn't have any moving parts or interiors.

i wish i could die cast :(

he's using models that are already available.

EF 1:43 are available fairly easily.

so i doubt it :P

technically you could mod the crap out of an EF one to make it like an ED.
but its a lot of effort on a 1:43 scale.

Postby Dumpsta » July 27th, 2012, 3:58 pm

Thought this thread deserved a bump. Been looking for hours through shops trying to find a model ef or el. Seems Biante only made 3000 of these and I couldnt find any shops that hadn't sold out of them, after an hour I found one on ebay (originally hadnt came up with a hit under 'model') and grabbed the last one.

1:43 Ef futura. $43.00 :P

Edit: Really impressed with the models above, they look great however I cant see your post John. :-( Repost maybe? Any hints and tips on modifying in such a scale?
