ba xr6 turbo how many k's is to many?

Postby Snaken » August 5th, 2012, 9:52 pm

still searching for a xr6 turbo to buy, and quite a few of the ba xr6 turbos seem to have around 160-170 thousand ks

would it be alright to buy an 03 04 model ba with this amount relativley cheap or is this the time when things start to need fixing or replacing?

thanks for your help

Everything needs replacing on a BA well before then. Buy a clean, low k's standard car with service history.. it's worth the few grand extra in the long run.

^^ Agree. BA's aren't too great with higher KM, lower KM ones aren't too much dearer and will be better in the long run.

In contrast, the 06 onwards BF's seem to have ironed out a lot of the BA niggles and hold up a lot better with higher KM.
