Falcon EcoLPI tyre recall

Could this be the lamest recall in history? Lucky buggers get free tyres, even though they've probably worn out the originals anyway.

A total of 372 FG and FG Mk2 Ford Falcon XT EcoLPi sedans built from September 13, 2011 to February 10, 2012 have been recalled after being incorrectly fitted with the wrong size tyres. While the correct tyre measures 225/55/R16, tyres measuring 215/60/R16 were fitted to the affected models.

Owners should go bust out some helis and take them back with the belts poking out and the rear quarters caked in rubber.

Yes sir, these tyres are defective. Replace them right away my good man.

They will have to clean the rear guards, as it is the faulty tyres that caused them to shread and the car was doing uncontrollable circles.
If he looks puzzled, you can say, we were lucky to get the evidence on video !!
