bad coil pack?

Postby ribedeeta » April 11th, 2013, 10:50 am

How do you know if the coil pack on your Ford Escort 1999 is bad? I just replaced the spark plugs and wires on my 1999 Ford Escort SE. Everything was fine before I started working on it and now it won't start. Someone asked if the coil pack was okay. I just did a google search to see what the coil pack was and so, okay, now i know what they are. Well, how do you know if they are okay or not?

Pull a spark plug off and attach it to the corresponding lead tgen crank while somone observes there is a nice blue spark arking on the spark plug. If no spark then coil pack busted. If spark then did you put tge leads on the right plugs? Or just throw some on
