starting issues

hey
just after some help with my ed v8 auto, it will crank but wont start it is not getting power to the fuel pump (wont prime)
don't know if this is all relevant but this is what I have done to the car. first I was working on an exhaust leak ( extractors) then went to start the car and I burnt out the eec relay under the header tank, so I have replaced that with a wrecker one and still wont start, fuel pump works, I tested the fuel pump relay by putting power to it earth and a switch and it clicks so unless the output terminal is fucked, its working? I have put in a wrecker ecu and still nothing...
I am about to check spark. any ideas what it could be?
