Classic hubcaps on E-series-Show Your Pics

Postby YordosKustomKoncepts » July 19th, 2014, 9:40 am

G'day i have searched the forums for any threads regarding cars with classic or old style hub caps or centrecaps, so i have made this one.

Please post any photos you all have with old hubcaps.

I'll start with mine, these are the XA,B,C centrecaps.

No, it's not a shame you have no photo.

Only nhoJ's cop car idea, or a possible Uncle Buck-spec build (suit NA/NC only - smokey 3.9/4.0 and shot paint a must) could pull off 70s hubcaps.

I must admit i probably was not expecting these sort of replys, but it still has not changed my mind. I will shortly be metal flaking the roof and get some whites on those wheels.

I find it interesting that everbody on here Hates this look yet it has been so well received here in Ballarat. I take my beast anywhere and it fit's in so well.
Well Thank you to all the members who gave such kind feedback and also to the admin and moderators, but as SnipeZ wrote: each to their own. I believe this looks cool or nice, and considering i have no budget at all to go spending on my car this was the cheapest option that i thought would make my car look cool.

I suppose that some people like me have certain aquired tastes for different styles.

Each to their own but I'd be saving my metal flake and whitewall $$ and buying some nice used SVO or Sprint alloys with tyres. Second hand lowered springs. You'd spend max $800 and it'd look neat. Ballarat will love it.

But yeah. Each to their own.

I think if you take 2" or more out of the suspension, widen the rears to 10+ front to 8+ inches mount some Hoosiers and a drive train to suit and it might come out fine..
