7 years of Boosted

Postby Sunboost » August 4th, 2014, 8:56 pm

And it's a farken ghost town these days.

I'm not on here as much as I used to be, don't have the net at my new joint and don't jump on while I'm away for work, but whenever I come back I go straight for "View new posts" and barely anything has happened. There was a point where Ev's build thread was the most active / interesting thread on here, and that's saying something

Anyways, woo 7 years :drinks2:

Wow 7 years

Don't post here much anymore either - took a post on AFF even to see John has a GT.

been lurking heaps lately looking for a boxcar to go drag race. Cheap; not as heavy as my FG and it would be fun to extract 400rwkw from a SOHC and run low 10s

I'm newish to this forum (registered in 2012 but only got a boxcar in 2013) and find it to be really helpful and informative, along with entertaining. I hope that more young people get interested in what these cars and the community has to offer (most people my age are into skylines and all that stuff, as I used to be myself). I love Boosted Falcon! happy birthday :)

Nice milestone there! It's crazy to think it's been that long! I agree it's a bit quiet these days though.

Unfortunately facebook has killed forums across the entire board really.

I still pop on here 2-3 times a week to have a look around.

Feels like 3 years

I love that the amount of effort required to come here compared to FB has improved the quality ratio of the content.

Still the most relaxed place to go for car related stuff on the Internet IMO.

It does appear FB has murdered a lot of forums, people really don't appreaciate the ability to search or have topics set out in a logical order :(

I whore this website out to all and sundry but unfortunately it seems most people would rather post their bullshit on FB and wade through all the shitknt replies than go somewhere that has people who know what they're doing.

Le sigh.

I guess I'm a little bit the opposite. I see a few pics and vids that come through on fb, but don't interact like on forums.

As for Boosted I should really try & catch some of you kents sometime. Maybe GOR, pending the work/life/family balance.

7 years ey fark. And the group of peeps was around for probably 3-5 years before that? I think its more a sign of peoples lives taking up valuable car time - thats certainly my problem :(

I've nearly finished building a garage tho now so I hope to take a break from the house and get some shit going again.

As for russellw/AFF, they can go tongue punch a fart box.

Good to see you back mate.

I'm only here because I'm feeling crook and don't feel like studying. Otherwise it's study>work>study>work>study>kids>dinner>sleep>repeat.

Back in the day I'd leave work early on Thursday arvo to make sure the EL was sparkling inside and out before going to Aspley. Now it gets a basic bath once a month. The old carefree me would disgusted.

lol Sean that was 2012.

Todd surely your EL's interior would be nothing but toast crumbs and squished rusk bar ends considering you've got two kids now. Even if they don't eat toast/rusks, that shit ends up everywhere anyway. Science fact.
