Help With 2 Things Pls

First Problem:
Im trying to upload a picture of my car onto the website but i can not get my picture small enough to fit, the limit being 78kb all my pics are 600+kb, i have no idea what im doing so pls spmeone help me.

Second Problem: (1994 ED Falcon)
Yesterday my car would not change out of 2nd gear, tried stoppin and going from D to P a few times but didnt change anything, i turned car off for bout half hour then when i got going again the box was working as normal, on the way home from work today i used the power button for bout 20 seconds and put back into econ and realised that flicking the switch back done nothing, it just stayed in power mode, has anyone had similar problems before?, should i start shopping round for a new box

Welcome to the forums mate,

1) Make an account at http://www.photobucket.com and host the pics through there

2) Sounds like an electrical fault is forcing the car into Limp Home Mode ("LHM" - and being reset to "normal" when you restart the car until the fault pops up again), and it's actually putting your car into 3rd.

Dunno about the power/econ button issue, but for LHM check your basic electrical things like the fuses, relays and your battery terminals. My box had a "random" LHM issue which I narrowed down to being caused by flicking my high-beams on. Turns out my relay contacts for the high-beam relay were dirty, a quick clean with the t-shirt & the box was back to normal again.

cheers for that, i will just have to see what the go is next time it happens and try and work it out from there

With the power / econ thing it's happened on both my EL's, I just tapped the cluster and the light turns off or on. It just freezes or whatever if that's at all possible.

With the gearbox issue - I've had it before. It's the S5 solenoid.
