I just had a thought, how about an ignition circuit that stays powered while cranking... Would be handy wouldn't it?

I wish they had head gaskets that held together under boost :(

And that the V8s had enough power stock to keep up with a I6T with a blown head gasket :P

Cupholders and proper handbrakes would have been good also.

Sorry commando, i was referring to a 351 cube windsor... Did they come out in x-series?? I figured (but have done no research) that the windsor would bolt in pretty similar to the 302 windsor we know and (some people) love. I didnt think the cleveland would swap over that easily hence why I went with the windsor.

Left handed dick pulling FTW. Isn't that what autos are for? Then you can light a ciggie and smoke with with your right hand, and not have the dick smell affecting your smoke.

To get technical (which I don't mind doing at times :P ) The first, last and only Falcon to come factory with a 351W was the XW.

Falcons had clevos for so long because they were basically given the moulds from ford US. Not because they were great.

351w is bigger than a 302w. 351w block has a taller deck height. The 302c is uniquely Australian, it's a 351c block with a de-stroked crank.

That being said, E-Series are wider between the shock towers than an XD-XF.

[edit] people (like me) love windsors because there was 35-40 million of them made, they are light, have a perfect stroke/bore ratio, can be made to have stupid amounts of power, and you can build one without using a single factory part, so you can replace any part with an aftermarket part.

6 cylinders that are reliable, and don't blow head gaskets every hunge.
6 cylinders that don't sound like ass when an exhaust is bolted on.
At least another 20-30kw from the V8's stock, so that they were easily quicker than the 6's.
An EL GT, that doesn't look like an EL GT, more like an XR.
Better colour choices in all models.
Definately cup holders in EA-ED's.

the best thing about our Territory, it has about 11 cupholders that i've counted so far but there could be more!

the lack of drink holder highlights the age of the boxcar... they were only standard in top of the range hong kong taxi's in the early 90's

That beer shits all over your mum's breakfast juice.

As for those cupholders, they'll work with a double DIN surround (EF-EL). Or, if you can live without your stereo, that can take its place in your ED :P
