Removing Window from EA-EF

Postby mike1989 » June 15th, 2008, 6:13 am

Hey guys,

Off to pick-a-part today to get a driver's side front window for the car, just wondering what is involved with getting the window out (without breaking it :D) what tools I will need etc. because I am quite noob at this lol

Door trim I understand is as easy as 11 screws or something, but what do I do next?

Thanks for your help in advance

(Also didn't know where to post this topic)

Remove door trim.

Wind window down a bit till you've got access to where the window bolts to the reg (the thing that makes it go up and down).

There are 2 bolts that connect the window to the reg, I think they're either 8mm or 10mm from memory, remove these, and then pull the window out from the top.

You may need to juggle with the angles to get it out cleanly, but it's a really quick thing to do.
