How do I adjust my koni reds?

Postby Maximus » June 30th, 2008, 4:31 pm

Hey does anyone know how to adjust koni reds? I've got one of the rear ones out and I'm unsure of how to make it so the car sits higher.

Trying to pass defect. Cheers!

Hate to break it to ya mate but adjusting your koni 'red' shocks will not alter your ride height.
Koni's are only shocks and, AFAIK, do not come in coil overs, especially not for the back of a falcon. You'll need to change your springs to raise the car.

+ IIRC the Reds adjustment is to maintain bump and rebound throughout the life of the damper, not for adjusting depending on suspension preference.

On some Koni red's, you're able to adjust the clicker until it goes to full hard, then +1 click (it's very hard to twist the top to this clicker position), and at that position the shock is pretty much locked in place, at a very tall rideheight (dodgy as all feck). Mine don't do that, but others do so I'm not sure what the go is there.
