School Formal Cars

Postby 67rce » July 28th, 2008, 8:33 pm

My Little brother has his formal coming up (in like 4 months) and is after a car. I asked him what he wantsa, and he is after a classic that will own all..... what sorta car do you guys reckon, and if you know, where can one be had in Brisbane. I already asked him about Boosted Falcons, but he isnt interested, he wants a classic for sure

Maybe he should explain more on the word "classic". Is he into the old cars of the 50's/60's or the later 70's/80's?

I'm thinking a XA-XC coupe 351 (maybe cobra themed), a XD-XE ESP 351 or a Holden HQ-HZ V8.

Or he could rent one of these out, a true Classic.

Get in contact with the Falcon Coupe club. Maybe a couple of tough XC Cobra's or XA/XB GT Coupes could be the go?

He has been looking more at something like a GT40 rep, but cant get one for cheap enough (under $450 for 45 mins) and the guy at my work who has one only brings his out for shows or photo shoots at QR for Street Machine...

I Suggested X-Series GT/Cobra/Stang and he is dead set on something out of the ordinary.... hell i even offered his a Modded T3 TE50, a T2 TS50, My AU XR8, a few QLD Members cars (was goin to check with them if he wanted to) and nothing....

The only car that has so far proved do-able is Darryl Beatties old VC Valiant Ute with a 526ci Indy Maxx Hemi (950hp/11.42@122mph bagging them).

Tell him to take his head out of his arse and settle for something reasonable. Those are awesome cars (hell even your AU Xr8 would be the duck's nuts compared to many other cars the formal kiddies will use). Personally I'd be going in the T3.

Your brother is a homo.

He should take a limo and try molest his date on the way, (preferable) or get a normal-but-fast car and scare the crap out of her on the way :)

The T3 would be a good choice, Gozzas Turbo Fairmont could prove exciting (like a box of chocolates - you never no which bit will explode or catch fire next) or Revengelanes TT Fairlane for a bit of LWB cruising. I could do it and drop a 100m powerskid out of the driveway if he wants :)

Actually, best plan - rock up in a tow truck FTW. Highly doubtful anyone else will think of it.

Look at your car. Now back to mine. Now back to yours. Now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped buying dodgy cars and bought an ED, yours could be like mine. Look down. Back up. Where are you? ...You're on BoostedFalcon, reading the signature your signature could be like! Anything is possible when your car looks like my car... I'm on a computer.
