I prefer GUNXR8, the orange paint is too ricey for me, I would have prefered JETXR with the purple paint and door moulds.

I can appreciate the hard work gone into JETXR and GUNXR8 but in my eyes they are definately not the best eseries in Australia. Tuffed6, Sinans EL, Rollins xr6 and all the other esieres that are built AND ARE driven hard are in my mind, better cars.

Its a show car more than anything but, and it ticks all the boxes to be the best E series show car IMO. Only thing GUNXR8 is 'lacking' is the wow factor when you look at it as it just looks like an XR8 on rims really.

True,But if you look closer its alot more then just an XR8 on rims.
TUFED6 is one of the best around but take away the drive line and engine and its just a white ED.
There all unique in there own way. Only thing GUNXR8 is missing imo is boost.

But there are 2 types of show cars. The clean ones and the custom ones. I mean put stockies on GUNXR8 and a trolley dent in the door its just another ED. But because of how tidy it is its awesome. JETXR is pretty much all custom, it stands out. I mean if you dont notice that driving by there's something wrong with u.

Honestly if this thing saw the road often i'd be very surprised, many people may be familiar with the yellow VL turbo [XCHASER]. Besim drives the car heaps on the road also people like luke odea (who i believe is on here?) with his blue turbo el xr6 that i see on the road a fair bit. These in my opinion are real tuff cars not trying to take away from jet & these cars may be no where near as insane but thats what i would rather see.

Haha yeah remember reading that article. 'Imitation nitrous bottle'.. wtf!

I personally love JETXR, always have. I dont mind it in the orange, and I've always hated the front bar but give him kudo's for being different. The interior is friggen sweet minus the monster tacho! Shoudl have left it purple imo... more suited to the E-series. I dont reckon JETXR can be compared to GUNXR8 and vice versa, not in their league, sure they're both E-series but I'd have to say JETXR takes the cake for EF/EL and GUNXR8 probably takes the cake for EA-ED.

thing off and had something hidden next to the radiator rather than sitting on the strut tower like normal

Shaun you should know what goes into building a car, this guy has had two paint jobs (MINT ones) full custom interior, unique wheels which i'm guessing other people don't have because they can't afford it, one of, if not THE first to do a BA conversion in E-Series + the rest, i'm sure it would have been alot cheaper if he done it all this way the first time round.

People would think it'd cost about $7k to build a car like yours, but i'm SURE you spent alot more than that! I can see how this guy would have spent $100k, I personally would never spend that kinda cash...but if you have the money, why not ay.

As for Streetfords, seems like anyone can get into it lol, it's good seeing something mint like this for once.

Any donkey could get their car in Street Fords now. They'll take just about anything from what I've seen. Your car can be 5 different shades of the same colour and covered in stone chips, and you'll get a decent spread.

Hell, my EA even almost got in :P They were ready to go, but I wanted it neater lol.

I remember creaming my jocks as a teenage red P-Plater with an EA that had BBM, pod filter and chopped rear resonator. He was god to me, the whole thing was SUPERB and innovative beyond it's years - the whole build was executed perfectly, top to bottom.

Anyone who drops serious dollars like that on older cars is in to some form of criminal activity they say.

Read up on MRCRX, MRWRX etc. from BITD.

Being that JETXR was one of the first if not the first with the BA conversion I have no doubt that the car has no than likely seen every part of 100k.
In saying that knowing what we do now and a few more cars having the conversion and custom etc etc probably could be done cheaper these days but not when this was first built. If that makes sense.

I love JETXR personally first time I saw it I as amazed and now its even better. Love the colour, wheels and engine bay!

Shit if someone told me I could have built my car into what it is now for 7k 3 years ago I would have saved shit loads lol.

I got an EB GL the other day. I reckon I could have it looking like yours with similar performance, interior and suspension / wheel mods for under 5k if I TRIED hard enough or used some bits and pieces I already have :)

or rather than some sort of illegal activity you could just be good at what you do, and make money accordingly... **** plenty
of people over here in WA working away that could afford to build something like this... some people are just lucky AND/or
work very hard....

In saying that knowing what we do now and a few more cars having the conversion and custom etc etc probably could be done cheaper these days but not when this was first built. If that makes sense.

You could try but I know you coudlnt do it!
