Yeah, don't be so quick to judge guys! There's more chances of him being a legit hard working bloke than a drug dealer.

Although there's alot of cars out there built with drug money, but lets just take pride in not doing it the easy way!

Lol I was joking.

.... but TUFED6 is on the money.

ha what a laugh! because the guy hasnt gone out and bought the snort stage 4 kit and put a set of 18 inch fpv wheels on his car with clear altezzas, hes a drug dealer?
doin somethin different and a bit original, and every clown puts you down? front bar isnt to my liking, i like the old paint better, he doesnt drive it to the supermarket, blah blah blah. if everyone built there car the same, then it would be pretty fuckin boring looking in a mag and seein the same shit on every page. i dont see jetxr gettin on here and talkin shit, does the work, spends the cash, and lets the car speak for itself. regardless of how it looks, no one can argue with 500+ at the rears.

I think you'll find people are just commenting on what they would change if it were their EL, but like the other 99% of it. I wouldn't call that putting it down.

Hell, my EA even almost got in :P They were ready to go, but I wanted it neater lol.

I remember creaming my jocks as a teenage red P-Plater with an EA that had BBM, pod filter and chopped rear resonator. He was god to me, the whole thing was SUPERB and innovative beyond it's years - the whole build was executed perfectly, top to bottom.

Anyone who drops serious dollars like that on older cars is in to some form of criminal activity they say.

Read up on MRCRX, MRWRX etc. from BITD.

its quite amusing to see how some of you have nothing better to do and bag out peoples achievements and better still their partners....
for your information, i am his wife and you can call me all you want. and Mr low-ltd I dont have the jetxr tattoo on my tits, i dont have any tattoo with jetxr on me.
and to put all your minds at ease Tony is not a drug dealer, he works hard and enjoys his hobby. He has built this car over a few years now, not 6 months
Its just a shame to see a well-known forum bag out what people achieve and even start on the individual/partners.
The topic of this forum is "JETXR Street Fords Cover Car" why cant you stick to discussions on that and leave out the insults and "what you hear"
Its people like you who stop people like Tony going on these sites.

Thanks to those of you who actually wrote good comments etc. he is much appreciated and there is more to come!

I wouldn't worry about the negative comments, people love to post things on forums that they wouldn't say to your face. Also the drug dealer joke is a long running one that people (myself included) like to use whenever someone spends a ton of money on their car. Probably because a number of people on car forums have been busted for that kind of thing over the years.

First saw this car at Autosalon years ago when my car was there at the same time, was amazing then and is still amazing tho I preferred it blue.

Negative posts come with the territory unfortunately.
Fortunately there are still forums around that are friendly, but they're mostly invite only.

you could have the worlds best car, but someone will always find a way to discredit it, weather it be for jealousy, personal opinion or simply to stir people up because they've got nothing better to do.... this forum has a lot of the latter :glare:

good on you bala84, very nicely said.
please dont let insults and mean words offend you or tony..
if the car wasn't appreciated and envied by the majority of ford enthusiast, it would not receive the attention, and credit/popularity that it does, nor would it have gotten on the front of the most famous ford modification magazine..

It's amazing how my first post ended up something of the same nature......clarifying, justifying, trying to set things straight. There is too much of this on this site.

Anyway JETXR is an amazing car, I've always been tempted to buy it (if it's available) and just say "done". I'm sure ELFPV will be parked next to JETXR once again down at Racetec in the next couple of weeks :-(

Dont worry about it Mel, as John said people will always try and find something to bag out about tough cars. Its just jealousy.

This doesnt just happen in the car world either, happens in the animal show world etc. Just have to ignore it and be proud of what you have :)

i agree with john and dave (offyaguts).
alot of bagging etc does go on on the forums and then the people who bag things out dont/wont say nothing in person.
mel and jetxr dont let people ruin it for you both.
