EBGLT was not turbo when I was on my P's mate. I got my P's when I was 18 and got off them when I was nearly 23. lol

Ok i will put in my 2 cents worth... We own 2 E series used to be 3 but i unfortantly sold my EL Futura Wagon to upgrade to a BA Wagon and im PISSED that we sold the EL as the BA is CRAP in my opinion my EL shits all over the BA Drive wise and Comfort wise, BUt like i said that is just my Opinion... We are in the process of selling the BA and we have only had since sept last year. I really wish we hadnt brought it but we thought we were doing the right thing by upgrading to a new car however i wopuld prefer to spend the money and Boost my EB Wagon..Which will be happening in the next few months  and as for the AU's they are UGLY.. Even my old man had one and said they were ugly... LOL

So i know we will be sticking to the E series for a very long time...
92 EB Mont Wagon Auto, Cardinal Red, EL Wagon Tailights, AU Guard Repeaters,
ED XR Corner Lights, Lowered inch and a half, 17" Shadow Boss, EL Tickford Head,
ED XR6 Wagon ECU, 300kpa Reg, 4499 Pacies, XH Snorkel. XR Quad Lights, Rear Wing,
To be Boosted in the near future.

I cant believe this thread is still going.

I thought the solution was sort.

1. This thread was a dick size contest. Steady clearly being the winner cause hes got a fancy build plate, keyring etc owned from new...
2. E-series and B-series are on par for which is better, depending on person, money, gender, kids names etc
3. FPV is in a league of its own
4. Owning a falcon/fpv does not give you status.

I purchased my EL because I wanted one.

I have nothing to add... if you rip a skid and i can film it i will be impressed ...

I had an EL i will always look back at my eseries days with fond memories first cars etc.... why did i sell and upgrade??? cause i was bored as shit owning eseries for 3-4years it was VERY slow and i did not want to make a car i was sick of quicker

buyin an ls1 wasnt an easy option out i wanted v8 my car needs the same mods as the next v8 new or old cams heads etc etc its just more enjoyable to drive stock then an old 5L ford or holden

some of the arguments in here seem beyond stupid and make me feel almost nostalgic of highschool arguing about cars

I'd love a new FPV, would probably only buy an FPV too, not a normal turbs, just to be in 'that' elitist club.
But its the old quandry, to sell a car thats had so much spent on it, for **** all. Do you do it...
One day, i'll just park the E-Series in a garage somewhere and buy a nice newer car. I'd only keep the EL for the memories, because in 3 years time, it'll probably be worth less than getting a photo of it in a nice frame to hang on the wall.

:epicfight: I like this thread its an age old argument that will forever be discussed. I have the same argument at my work with the young blokes there and they always say "Rob, man why do you own an old shitter EB falcon and worse still why bother polishing it and repairing the engine, swapping parts with later model gear, fitting 18in wheels etc." I respond with, yeah my EB is 17 yrs old, and yeah the paint isnt perfect, but AT LEAST I OWN MY CAR OUTRIGHT and it does what i need it to do it doesnt break down on me and remember 17 yrs ago my car was new as well and if i spent a third of the money your cars cost you on my EB then i gaurantee it would look, drive, handle and perform just as good or better than your new cars do and i would feel better with myself because i have made my car a standout rather than just another new commo ute that has put me in debt for $40k+...... dont get me wrong i love the way new cars look and feel to drive and of course perform from factory but give me my EB anyday i love it because its simple and easy to maintain. :drinks2:

Postby krisisdog » May 7th, 2009, 11:12 pm

Seeing as everyone is actually giving reasons, heres mine for wanting and owning an E series

- I'm just 20, still studying so dont have a lot of $$
- I can do pretty much everything to my EF myself, and parts are worth fark all
- It goes quick enough to hose most every local daily driver or cruiser you'll find out
- Takes a fair hiding occasionally, doesnt complain
- Looks good enough lowered on 17s with tint
- Its cheap as to run for a large car with mods - under 11L/100kms
- Not afraid about the paint or panels or interior (yet, bout to be resprayed lol)

So for me, E series = muthafukin WINAH!
If I earnt a few extra $$$, B series T = muthafukin WINAH!

Win :)

The best car is the one you like the most, pretty easy really.

ED is the best car for me...short of a zonda, 911, koni-egg (sic) Viper or Corvette...

Clearly, the best car for other people is a BA/BF/FG. I have no interest in the newer models though.
Image

Look at your car. Now back to mine. Now back to yours. Now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped buying dodgy cars and bought an ED, yours could be like mine. Look down. Back up. Where are you? ...You're on BoostedFalcon, reading the signature your signature could be like! Anything is possible when your car looks like my car... I'm on a computer.

There's alot of years development and the b series should be damn better, ford would be a failure if it weren't.
But it seems you guys are trying to compare modded cars with modded cars. . . You can change every characteristic of a car if u want. E.g "the black pearl" skyline drift car. It's one of the old box skylines with full newer skyline running gear.. Does it make it a shitter car just becaus it's a box?
The guys on here have proved with some boost the sohc can bring the power fairly well. So I don't see a problem at all with e series . ... Enough to argue about anyways.
