so can you buy lowerd leaf springs or do you have to get them reset? load helper things look like a good idear. did the sway bar make much of a diffrence? is there a need for shortend shocks? have you had to cut your bump stops?

id probly want the same stance mabey a tiny bit lower as PSI250 but as stiff as i can get it...

you can buy lowered leaves thru king springs, you can also send yours off to be reset.

i'll sell you my wagon, its already done!!

King Springs sell a set of leaf springs, but only in Lows. So reset will be the way to go for anything lower.

The sway bar has made a lot of difference. I made some comments in my build thread.

As for bump stops, there are three. One on each side above the diff housing, and one in the middle above the pinion. At this stage I have not cut the bump stops, but they do appear to be getting a bit of use. That is probably from my trip to QLD from Sydney a few weeks ago.

I will say that at this height, with four adults in the car, and hard acceleration in first and 2nd, the tailshaft does hit the floor. Using Lowering blocks makes this worse, as they magnify the twist of the diff.

Shortened shocks will be needed if you have the leaves reset, but if you use blocks, you need to keep using standard length.

At the moment, my shocks are stuffed, and I will be getting some HD shocks in the next month or so, I hope.

Cheers

King springs actually sell both low and superlow to suit E series wagons.
Part numbers
FOR-618 for the superlows
and
FOR-607 for the lows.

Shocks only control the spring movement, and would prevent some rear end bounce with a load, not how far it drops.

As he purchased it it had the 3.2l and 5 speed, factory fitted.

As to what is in there now?

I guess MRE-50L can tell his own story.

Bad news is that pic was before some kents from Cronulla gave it a small thumping. Needs much cosmetic TLC which should hopefuly happen next year.
