Operation Clear View follows a series of crashes involving heavily tinted cars, police said.
Pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists were among those left hurt by drivers unable to see where they are going, the head of the operation Sen-Constable Steve Hillman said.
“We intend on checking a large number of vehicles for roadworthiness, in particular we will be checking the level of tint,'' he said.

When are people going to be blamed for their lack of ability or pore road conditions going to be blamed. It looks like the police are blaming everything but driver ability and road conditions....
Haha, this reminds, me I had a customer back into the factory, nearly run me over, sounds stupid, but it was the only thing I could think of to protect this job, very long story had been redone about 3 times and was going to be a massive issue to redo.
Anyway, it was an old guy when he got out, he said, sorry, I couldn't see what was behind me. So he just continued

This is what I believe causes accidents. lack of the the mushy stuff between the ears, age not relevant.

I have to say this is a relevant point.
When I was working at a tyre joint, you know who would run there tyres through to the bands, the people who never would've looked halfway down their doors, the one in new yarris and colts, or hyundais.
admittdlley the falcons holdens would generally take more average tyres, but considering the frequency, in general they seem to take better care of what mattered.
I had a young mother come in a s2/3 au with 3 young kids in the back, all the tyres were fucked, could only afford the one(we only had one anyway), so we changed the one that was about to go bang. drivers front.
my car looks fucked bog on the rear quarter, frequently sprayyed in mud or dirt, punched in front bar, looks like it's about to fall off the headlining sagging big time wire hanging around dash facia missing door cards and interior handles missing. but yet brakes steers, handles well, tyres are good, despite being stockies. in reality it looks like a bomb but is safer than half the car I saw come through.
