i'd just tell him that his car was so powerful that i couldn't even strap it down.

But icer already made 350rwkw on that dyno a few months back.

Guesswork?

Many places can tune 350rwkw monsters. They are not rare.

Regardless on whether you want to run a 15 or 9 sec quarter, if you want a dyno print out, get one.

ill repeat myself for you slower people.

the car power output is not the problem. the dyno and tuner is not the problem. He has a 800+hp BA with the same 4sp auto i have (CLINIC 9sec BA). My converter is difference. The convertor is why there is constant wheel spin on how it brings up power.

ill repeat that in 3 more posts again.

i still reckon it'll be less wheel spin and more convertor slip that's killing your power, but anyway...

the drag radials were probably the worst tyre you could possibly use on the dyno.
you want a hard compound. because you are strapping the car down with so much force, the amount of force on the tyres is way over what they would normally see, and they'll heat up beyond where they make optimal grip. in the case of the ETs, hot enough to melt them.
a harder compound isn't going to heat up as much.
i've heard of **** using light truck tyres before, like a few guys do for burnout comps as well, for basically the same reason.

does your convertor have lockup still? because the other possible trick is to force it to lockup, i guess it'd still be the S7 solenoid in the BA BTRs.
i dunno if that'll break something at that power level though, so keep that in mind

as for a place that will strap it down hard, find someone that uses a horsepower heroes style hydraulic strapping system.
HPF would have to be one that would?

if all that fails and you are still desperate for a 400+ dyno sheet, buy a T5 conversion and put some cheap brass button clutch with a fuckload of clamp in it. if it doesn't make 400+ then, you aren't making 400+, if you get what i mean.

i reckon you should just give up on dyno figures though. building a car to go quick on the dragstrip and building a car that makes big power on the dyno are two completely different things. look at TRYHRD.

Perhaps try finding a place with a hub dyno?

They do the job for push started speedway cars... They can't use a normal dyno due to not having a clutch.

Tuner said they tune the car by monitoring the air flow meter and tune is nice and safe. As for more details, ask any tuner. Car feels friken tuff as after 120 and kept traction! See how we go on the track next few weeks :) ill keep yas posted!

Airflow meter on a car with a MAP sensor? Good job

Seriously though, I reckon if you got proper (normal) wheels and tyres and went back there now that they would have had a few different cars on the dyno you'd probably have more success.

I reckon the et streets you had melted a little onto the dyno rollers which would have made them slippery, so they just would have needed a few cars (or some brake clean, scrubbing brushes, rags and a lot of effort) to 'rub' the soft rubber off. Should be good now.
