Maybe we need a Tutorial for changing a tyre and putting a dissy in?

Well, since that you've actually named some things wrong with your car you are better than 90% of the chicks I know on cars.

Maybe you should learn to back this up with some practical work?

OMG STALKER IS A CAT!!! LOOK AT THE SPELLING!!!!!!!!

eb-baby: Wait for your brother to get home and go through it with him. Easiest way to learn is to do it with someone that knows. I'm not saying you dont know how to change a tyre but if your not sure with the light or especially the dizzy, get him to show you through it and your car/cars will get back on the road soon.

Lazy is equally as bad as Dumb!!!

Learn to spell people. Then spell correctly when posting here.
Poor spelling makes it hard for those of us with properly functioning brains to understand your economy class dribble!

On another note. eb-baby, is it possible your mechanic doesn't know what he's talking about? Like Dan said, if it was just water in the distributor, it should have just dried out and the car would start.
There must be something else wrong there!

Haha i didnt realise you were a chick otherwise i would have criticised you for whinging too, but chicks whinge about anything and blow things out of proportion so i'll just let that one slip :?

Seriously though its very minor stuff, easy to fix and technically you shouldn't be driving with a bald tyre anyway so they have every right to take the car off the road. Its not the cops fault they saw you driving past with a faulty light, nor is it their fault your tires are bald and finally its not their fault you have no other car. Some times you just have to take responsibility, cop it on the chin and move on.

In Vic theres a few cops who wait outside peoples houses in the morning waiting for them to leave for work etc then they pull them over in their driveways to defect them. They'll also come around on weekends and book people for parking on naturestrips in quiet residential streets etc. One time they even blocked off a one way street leading to a basketball stadium just so they could defect 3 particular cars when they came out - the guys all pulled out their fuel pump ecu's, called the RACV and got past the roadblock on the back of a flatbed towtruck :D

So no you got pulled over for driving an unsafe (insufficent lights at night/bald tire) vehicle, i dont think you were picked on at all.

If you felt violated make a compliant to the local cop station not an internet forum.

EDIT: Seeming as you have referred this matter to the high court of Boosted Falcon, this thread needs pics to make proper judgement of situation.

nice pics damo :P

simple solution change the bloody tyre, its as simple as that. you cant use an excuse that you are a lean girl, you dont need to be big or muscly or anything to change a tyre. you say you know how to change the tyre, so whats the problem in changing it then??? it doesnt take that long to do does it, well i never thought it did
as for the head light simple dont drive at night until it is fixed.
its as simple as that in my opinion

god.. bit of a carry on over a little story pretty much discourages any newbys or anyone not knowing much about cars from posting on here through fear of being called a dummy etc dun if its just me but thought thats wat these forums were for.

my sister and my mum both rely on me to fix there cars they could both change a tyre etc etc niether of them are girly girls but still how many of those 5 chicks in here would like to stuff round on the ground gettin filthy.

it would take me farkin 5 minutes to change the tyre while it may take them half an hour.

any excuse to get off work is good eb_baby hope ya car is back on the road asap dont always just stick to one mech always pays to look around nothin worse then havin ya car off the road and some low life mech ripps ya off and for those who are bored enough to pick this up for spelling need to get a life its not a job ap.

hey im one of these chicks here and i do get out there and help the guys with there cars and i even change my own tyres when needed. if in the mean time you get dirty/filthy doing it, its pretty easy all you have to do is wash up.
yes it may take a chick a bit longer to change a tyre but at least the chick can have the satisfication of saying she done it all by herself.

I feel the same way Kristy.  When i cook something to eat, and then even do the dishes.  I that warm fuzzy feeling called 'satisfaction' of having done it all by myself!  haha

So you say 'juz' instead of 'just' in real life?

You're right, in case anyone hasn't noticed, this isn't a total newb forum made for people who have no idea on cars, and don't wan't to listen to anyones advice. Try OzECruisers for that. There will be lots of sympathy and perverted old men saying 'oooh I'll help you out :P ;) ' etc etc.

Re the spelling thing, if you 'choose' to come across a dumbshit because you 'choose' to not take the time to spell correctly, don't whinge when other people 'choose' to point out your spelling innacuracies.
