If changing an entire head instead of just a couple of lifters = smrt kunt 
No doubt it was a fked up problem to have - Astras and Vectras do it a lot when you get the heads done on them, but I've swapped probably 70,000zilliontrillionillion cams and heads in these things and never had a lifter hold a valve open. weird shit for sure.
