I disagree. He did burnouts, and he's seen others do burnouts. I think it's logical that if they were to dob him in for it, then he assumes he can dob them in for it in return. Dog act retaliated to with another (same) dog act.

Where's the problem here? He's not saying he's gonna make up shit and **** over randoms, he's saying "you **** me over, i'll do the same back and we'll be even".

I don't agree with ripping up other people's grass though, that shit is for council grass and school football ovals only :P

update via sms:

"I'd just like 2 let u no i was neva actually gona dob anybody in and i still wont coz thats a dog act".

The ban still stays, but at least it was just an empty threat. This is a case of him simply not thinking before doing something (rather than him being an outright ratbastard). Firstly, he didn't think before ripping that skid & suffered this thread being made. Secondly, he made a threat without thinking & got banned.

It wasn't quite like that. Dave didn't say he was going to call the cops, he was going to co-operate with them *IF* contacted, which I doubt they'd do.

We don't care about burnouts, as long as they're done at the right spot at the right time, and that's not at a meet point at a cruise.

To make this clear about where the other skids happened. Here is that meet point. Behind where the photographer was standing is about 1km of similar road.

Here is the road where burnt turtle attempted hoops, can see the road on the LHS.

That carpark looks pretty coarse, would it have ripped up and flicked stones on everyones cars if someone pulled donuts on it?

ROFL at the contradiction in Gilly's and Pete's sequential posts.

We don't care about burnouts, as long as they're done at the right spot at the right time, and that's not at a meet point at a cruise.

Only the edges were loose. Skids were done when people left, from what Ive been told were done further up the road and were standstill/snakey.

i'm not defending him or anything but, he wasn't trying to do burnouts he was being a smartarse and trying to rip it out sideways off the grass,
tezza was still there and would have got the best view, i work with burnt turtle and he's definately not the brightest tool in the shed

It is a shame to see such a nice Cruise turn to this. Everyone were well behaved most of the time but I agree with the others that said No Ban for Burnt Turtle but the moderators have taken action. If it was me I would have given him a warning and a kick up the arse. What annoyed me more than the grass was the way he fish tailed on the road after he got of the grass near small kids who were playing and running around at the time. It only needs to take one of them to fall over on the road and cause injury. Burnouts in unsuitable areas are overrated and only shows how cock headed you are. There were the 3 cars I saw at the Track doing their burnouts but that is a different environment and more industrial like so it was acceptable. I bet you guys wanted to be on the track though as you were doing it. I would never dob anyone in though, its lame

I was there too and It wasn't intentional but the fish tailing was a bit to close to Terry's kids so he deserved at least a warning for that.

Mark, he got banned because he made threats to dob the club in to Police. I told him to reconsider, he said he wouldn't back down, so he got banned. He would've only been named 'n' shamed (as per the original intent of this thread) if it weren't for the threats. Read the thread again.

He has since stated via sms that he has regretted what he'd said in the PMs.

Was this immediately prior to the skids in front of houses? Or was this an "afterwards" thing, or what? Your wording Pete doesn't make us look too flash

Funny about the attitude change Mark... And as mentioned in the Boosted thread, re-read it to see why Josh was banned, it wasn't for the actual skids.

markTD on Tuesday 20 May 2008 - 00:07:14
Same goes for you Shane 95NFGhia. On Boostedfalcon.net if you stuff up by a minimum level your banned. I was banned for not having a melways. What I am saying is that on Vicfords we don't ban people for the sake of it. You really have to mess up for that to happen.

markTD on Tuesday 20 May 2008 - 00:02:35
Burnt Turtle as a moderator I would have given you a warning not a ban. Reason why I would have done that was coz of how close u were to Terry's kids

Mark, I want your opinion.

Since you think you are a good judge of what does and doesn't deserve a ban, do your messages in the chatbox seem ban-worthy? Or maybe just deserving of a "warning and a kick up the arse".

sweet

for future note guys

burnouts and ripping up peoples lawns are completely allowable by vicfords.
just claim ignorance and say i didnt mean it.

you'll get a warning and a nice note from mark telling you how much he supports you.

The reasoning is simple.

The offenders were given an opportunity to publicly appologise, the obvious was stated, if we are approached by the police, we're not going to lie to defend anyone.
Its clear what they did was wrong, the people whos grass they ripped up have obviously made a complaint so why go against it.

If you feel that you have been hard done, then tough luck.
shouldn't have felt the need to ruin someones lawn.

threats towards 'other' members because of your own stupidity arn't going to be tolerated.

We don't care about burnouts, as long as they're done at the right spot at the right time, and that's not at a meet point at a cruise.

To make this clear about where the other skids happened. Here is that meet point. Behind where the photographer was standing is about 1km of similar road.

LOL......ahhh im not even gonna bother haha

Everyone knows where we stand with burnouts......

P.S - This thread should probably have been locked after the first post. Now it seems like the first post was one of those "good idea at the time" kind of posts, but the tangents and shit that it's gone off to makes it seem like it was very poorly planned to begin with, and the reactions and post here-in were not expected - so it all looks super-shitkicker.

Seems like there was also a lot of miscommunication about what actually happened and didn't happen on the cruise, other burnouts that were done, where they were done etc.

The other thing I don't understand is why there was a meet point on a nature strip out the front of a residential area? Parking on the grass always attracts the 3 speed 3.2 CFI spec sideways action hoons... that should've been thought of before the organisers decided to stop there for some happy snaps - especially with the amount of newbies we have these days.
