i ran the 13.6 on fuel....like i sed earlier, i took it to the bad side of 5700 in 3rd an it didnt cut out
so i changed to 4th jus b4 the line

Could it have been running on NOS?

Does the Nos get injected with the Air? Like the Gas does...?

The NOS is the "extra" air ;) Plus the nitrogen acts as a cooling/quenching/whatever agent, otherwise kents would hook up oxygen bottles instead.

I'm suddenly having images of YBYAVL with an oxy/acetylene combo

so the car could run on just the air intake???

If the injectors had stopped injecting fuel, it still pumps air through the motor yeah?

Umm, sorry, bad wording.

Think of it this way: if you run your car with the injectors disconnected, will it work? (let's ignore LPG :P)

Why do we use petrol?

The motor is essentially a petrol-powered air pump ;)

I suppose if the oxygen content was high enough it could burn on its own. It'd be FARKING HOT though & wreck your engine. Luckily we only have around 20% oxygen content in our air, hence why fires don't rage out of control.

Nice time dude :D It's fun sorting out 5.0s and all the 3.8s/VLs in an N/A falcon, they never, ever, expect it :D

It's possible to use just oxygen instead of nitrous, but you need to use about 1/3 of the amount of pure oxygen as you would use nitrous (ie, a 20hp nitrous jet would give a theoretical 60hp, but you'd need to throw in the same amount or more fuel than you would if you used a 60hp jet with N2O) You'd probably need to mess with the timing too. It's very dangerous though - oxygen is a freaking excellent combustion accelerant, having a bottle of oxygen in the car could lead to some extremely fun times if you ever developed a little leak...

It's be good dun to play around with if you had an expendable engine and figured the risk of losing your face was worth it :D

Good time Grechie .You should try a higher profile to get off the rev limiter. But thats where you want to be at the end of the track as high up on the rev counter as possible. In regards to your axle tramp you might need more pinion angle as your cars been lowered & it may have changed .I think pedders do an adjustable top link you should try a set.

Your EA is a freak Michael. Great effort man. I know how you act when you get more performance of her.
