Fair to a point Steady. Having a couple of fat, slow, midget cops sitting on their arse uploading some footage to Youtube is just an alternate way of utilising another channel of marketing that reaches a completely different demographic. The Internet is effing huge and so is the amount of kiddie fiddlers and car enthusiastic forum browsers using it. It's just another type of presence, albeit a digital one, that is saying the police are watching not only from the bush on the Black Spur, but also on the most commonly used channels floating around on the Internet. It will show them doing a job and attempt to let people know that these things are going on - whether we see them in real life or not.

Fat slow midget cops is another issue altogether (bit harsh of you to talk about christine nixon like that too BTW).
What it comes down to, IMO, is that it's alot easier to look like you are doing something, then it is to actually do something effective.
I just can't see these thinly veiled PR campaigns actually doing any good when it comes to preventing deaths/accidents on the roads.
I might also be a jaded kunt.

Im with you on this 1 Steady. Deaths on the roads are always going to happen, you cant stop it.
But the Police will take any credit they can get if the figures show the road toll is down even by 2%.
Hands up those of who thinks of the road toll adds when your speeding........anyone.....no?
And Christine Nixon, shes a joke. not much you can say about the fattest cop in the job.
They should all be made to do compulsary fitness tests once a year. Imagine how many cops would lose their job if that was to happen.

I just can't see these thinly veiled PR campaigns actually doing any good when it comes to preventing deaths/accidents on the roads.

Youtube vids of cops hiding in bushes etc to trap hoons will look a lot better on ACA than vids of 2 cops going up and down Black Spur rd all day. That's the biggest advantage I see.

Cops already do this kind of stuff as it is, look at all the police shows that have been on TV, they're gonna show them on Youtube instead.

Too many shtknts wreck it for everyone else. There used to be no real problem with (say) someone doing a burnout in an industrial estate on a quiet night. Then nuggets start smashing windows and trashing shit, or bring their shitful driving skills onto the road where there's other people and so the cops have to crack down.

Thank everyone who attended Noble Park maccas that night :P

Funny you mention Noble!
Remember all the stories from the weeks before that incident, of the cops letting it all happen, no interference?
It's always been a bit of an unwritten law, they let something go on for so long, then shut it down before it gets too big.
So why did they let Noble go so far?
Suddenly it's a motherfukken riot, and Joe Public is fearing for his families safety because of the evil hoon menace.
"I'll save you!!" says the government.
BAM, motherfukken hoon laws, cop that kunts.
9/11 type conspiracy, straight up.

You pointed out that the frost thread was a lot worse for fighting than this one, which furthers my point that Eseries threads are full of fighting more and more these days. I don't know whether it's just me who gets annoyed reading through 4 pages of back and forward arguing (and yes I realise the irony seeing as this is pretty much what I am complaining about, but i'm just trying to make my point) or whether others too cbs reading it all.

Dan there are less and less interesting threads here anyway so I really wouldn't be perturbed if you were to ban me.

I'd say your in the 0.1% minority here.

Also, don't misquote me, motherfukker (take note of the intentional harsh wording here). I sarcastically stated that if you thought there was "fighting" in this thread, then Frost's thread (comparatively speaking) was a nuclear holocaust. Christ, are you really that sensitive?

It doesnt matter commando. I banned him.

The amount of times he has complained about this forum is rediculous. If he hates it so much he shouldnt be a part of it.
