you cant drive anything that is classed as high performace in NSW on p plates, so thats no turbos, no V8s etc,
if you get caught it is 3 points gone and a fine, cant remember how much the fine is though

You can apply to VicRoads to get an exception unsure of the exact conditions tho.

One of my mates has a VE SS ute on his P's but as he is a subby with an ABN he is allowed to drive it according to VicRoads.

What's with all the caps LMAOing, LOLing and LMFAOing?

See the following links rather than posting dumb shit;

Arrive Alive site wrote:The previous power to weight restrictions will continue to apply for drivers who obtained their probationary licences before 1 July 2007.

That is the 125kW/Tonne

Arrive Alive site wrote:From 1 July 2007, the penalty for driving a high powered vehicle will be three demerit points and a maximum fine of approximately $1100. These penalties will apply to both the current power to weight restrictions and the new high powered vehicles restrictions.

Looks like Timmy is right. $1137 / 10 penalty units.

http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/NR/rdonl ... es2008.pdf

Thats a **** load of penalty units. Explains why all P platers have shitty cars lately.

I spose its up to the cops what they wana do you for. They probly change it all the time. Id say for a P plater, a fine would be the most damage?

it says a maximum penalty of 1100, so im guessing itll be slightly less maybe? lol not tht it makes much difference, its still huge! Got a quote of $800 from AAMI, under my old mans name with me being a listed driver, they just rape you for excess if something happens, like an extra $700 or something. Its nt going to be whored too much though, petrol is killer, and having a gas car in the family helps heaps, so ill prolly just take this one when i feel like it, and borrow the old ladies car for longer trips and stuff.

Onto the next question. It needs a slam bad, i ordered a set of Ultra's todai, but wondering if getting them compressed a bit more is worth it. I was told by a mate with a commo that getting ultra's compressed makes the coils touch and bottom out on decent bumps and stuff..

Otherwise the car is great, still pulls hard looks, being all jacked up?? dunno why?? maybe P-Plates... but yeah also mauled a 180sx todai... :D:D

You'll want to compress the rears at least, fooooor sure.
The arse sits too high otherwise.
Whack em in though and see what you think, rears are a piece of piss to change.

My mate has bentls' old springs in the rear of his BA which i think are ultra's compressed 2 inchs.

Il get a pic and post up but it sits awesome its slammed and the ride is still smoother than a stock e-series.
