Yeah the box was ok a couple of scratches/dents. the subs on the other hand were destroyed. Had to jack the rear parcel shelf up to get the box out & the box is now in our xr6 with new subs in it....

You certainly did okay to get out of it with no cuts from the glass fragmenting. I think the tinted driver's window saved me from some major cuts due to the glass staying together alot better if it were only glass and no tint. Takes a fair bit to kill yourself in a Eseries.

That sucks, you would be spewing.

Obviously from EA through to EL they are pretty strong, some of the impacts are insane, yet you can see the passenger area is intact, and nobody was badly hurt. Makes me feel pretty safe in the EF.

They are damn strong. That first accident I had, all I got was a scratch on my left knee. That's because it slammed into the dash. It hit so hard, I put a hole in my dash! You can see it here near the handbrake. I've since replaced that section (and got rid of the floormats :P)

LSD + oily roads + near illegal slippery 215's + slippery white lines just after taking off from traffic lights + keep left sign + 50km/h =

Image

Notice the bumper wasn't de-attached properly, all the plastic behind the bumper is still on the car... the bumper snapped off.. 1 screw was holding it on which was the plastic wheel guard stuff

and before anyone else says it, yes I should of kept left -.-

And this is what it turned out like, my first time painting / preparing... i reckon i went alright.. fixed heaps of dents / scratches in the new bar and you cant even tell they were there :)

Coming home from a camping trip at Wombat Forrest in '04'
My car towing my trailer + my bike, slowed down for a pot hole in the road and my mate wasnt watching. I was going about 10kmph, my mate about 50 kmph.
After the hit from behind, I pulled over to the side of the road, and the trailer overtook me for another 40 or so meters. It nearlly had a head on with oncoming traffic. I jumped out of the car and chased it down the road. Looking back now, it was pretty funny, but not at the time. Ha ha

My first ED XR6.....

Had a car 12 months ago pull out infront of me and made the mistake of swurving and well car spun I over corrected and it hit powerpole.

Image

And sadly my second ED XR6.....resulted in a few factors.......A a bunny rabbit running out and the woman in the 06 model Marloo manual slamming on her breaks and dropping the car into first. B me not having the money to keep my car maintained and buy new pads and rotors. C car is auto wont stop as quick as manual. D by rights I should have left more breaking distance.

Nah it was all good, pulled it out of the ditch and kept having fun...! No damage, just pride and a few beer stains on the dashmat and roof lol.

Yours copped a good hit hey? Doesn't look like there is an original straight e-series left out there!

sadly yes :(......I feel so guilty for it....which is why I am not getting an ED XR6 for 3rd car. It hits me hard ive wrecked two legit ones. Instead The ED futura I am buying I will build into a mock up ED XR6....although I am contemplating just getting the ED XR6 seats (futura ones dont hold me in properly and slide around in em when I take corners) and also hunt ED XR6 running gear motor...ECU....and diff....all when I find work.
