Wow YBHVE4, ouch!

This was my GEN3.
Took me 18 months to find it but finally did.
Was a 2002, Manual, RX special edition which gave it dual sunroof, different trim, climate, momo wheel and knob. All the bullshit. I put some 18inch wheels off a GEN4, borla extractors and a stereo. Was mint, then i sold it a year later, was getting a few klms on it. Got my money back, couldn't refuse that! Probably shouldn't clog the thread with non e-series' but on the Liberty topic here goes:

Just brought a complete El fairmont so we will be ripping the interior out of that over the next few weeks and slowly placing it in the EB.. Trying to find seats that i like... But atleast we got the Console, dash etc to start making the swap.. Seats will hopefully come one day soon..... :)

been thinking- whats the difference between E-series rear suspension and post-AU?

would there be any benefit in swapping to a post AU rear end?

Yeah add me too.

EA 3.9, 4 speed on LPG with close to 400,000km on it.

1 tranny at 180,000 and a head gasket at 200,000km.

A massive truck tranny cooler, conversion to EL thermo fans and a AU steel head gasket and bolts later and shes still running strong.

Forgot to mention a blown single spinner diff compliments of my son with his mates a few months ago, replaced with what im told is a rare leaf spring LSD.
The wreaker didnt realize it was LSD and sold it to me at the single spinner price.....loaded it up and paid real quick before taking off.

I wonder if the leaf springs are any different in an AU-BF wagon compared to EF XR springs? I'm saying this because at work there's a spoon drain in the middle of the carpark, and if you cross it diagonally at anything above 10kph, the EF gets all roly-poly (motherfucker), whereas when I've driven BF wagons & utes at work they don't roll nearly as much, feel much more stable.

Then again maybe it's the kms on the car (370xxx). Now where's my silver medal

You're probably right, I guess roly-poly action is more to do with the swaybar. My EF probably has a stretched-out coathanger for a swaybar.

Yeah that caught my attention too - nicely done but also agreen with John RE the rear bar - one of my pet peeves ever since CCS, SSV and all the places that make aftermarket kits...just didn't look right IMHO.

I had a wagon once upon a time...really should have kept her
