I brang up the Cover car thing once before on Street Fords forum. It was about the 95% of the time the cover car is a XW/Y. Even though they feature a Highly impressive E series or AU. Its still not as good as a Restored V8 powed X somthing.

But the world goes round and I still think JETXR is a real nice car with a nice power figure.

the cover cars are usually decided by whats gonna sell magazines, not whats the best in the mag.

If he stuck with the factory body kit and door moulds it would look much better and more appealing to me anyway and persoanlly i would of stuck with the purple colour.

Other things that ruin this is the top loader trans and wolf ecu but other than that its a car done very well
Wanted Either Capri/Cortina/XY/XW/XR/XT with tough V8 stroker engine, auto, 9inch, upgraded brakes etc

Purple colour was boring.. and why spend 100k on a car and keep the factory bodykit :?

I agree about the door moulds though. They look soo much better with them on.

show wheels are killer.... Cost a fortune though, I priced up a set on mine 20 by 8, and 20 by 9 or 10 about 4800 without tyres... :?

The sleek spoke in those sizes will be $850 per set in gst
And $80 freight

Love everything about it, I liked the purple paint but the orange looks so much better. I would never go for a big bodykit but this car defiantly pulls it off. Wheels....omg I fucken love those wheels!!! haha. And yeah I would rate it as one of the best e-series in Aus along with GUNXR8, that machine is very nice too!

Yep your car is definitely worthy of a feature. Theres a few on here that i think are good enough to make street fords/zoom.

Yeah but aren't most cars. It's been re sprayed, re trimmed, billet wheels, boot setup and lots of sexy bling under the hood. Makes mine look scrappy, it's really neat.

yeah gunxr8 is super clean, but you put it side by side with jetxr and i think jet would get more point's. just has more wow about it. everyone is saying about the bodykit, i bet if you saw it cruise down your main street it would be like "holy f@#k" did you just see that. awesome car..

They're Featuring Mongoose's car off fordmods, theres nothing 'spectacular' about it, its a clean EF with kit/interior/ N/A mods
given the attention to detail yours has had i don't think you'd be far off.
much like Dylan's old EB.

Yeah true that Beth, you wonder sometimes how some of the shit boxes get in there. Also hate it when there's a cover car, full feature on a XR6T that the guy bought, put shitty wheels on, sent to Nizpro to make 350rwkw and the guy never touched the car with a single spanner himself. WTF who cares hundreds of people have done that.

JETXR and GUNXR8 are defiantly my two favourtie e-series.

Much preferred the kit that was on the 'PYROAY' car but i hate that colour change paint, Obviously street fords believe it to be good enough to sell this issue. good on him, just glade i dont wake up and look at that thing

i also reckon there are a few cars on here that deserve a good spread in a mag.
