god.. bit of a carry on over a little story pretty much discourages any newbys or anyone not knowing much about cars from posting on here through fear of being called a dummy etc dun if its just me but thought thats wat these forums were for.

This forum is getting a lot worse in regards to this crap, I've met numerous people with nice e-series (in RL ) who said they wouldn't post any queries on boosted for fear of being flamed for "dumb questions" and in their opinion it wasn't worth the hassle of joining with the likely chance of not getting an answer and being told "vicfords.com"...

Well (and I'm speaking hypothetically here), in some cases it can depend on what the question/topic is...

A good question/topic can be asked/worded badly, and inversely a newb question/topic can be asked/worded in a non-newb way.

Why does every forum have to accomodate every single person ever born? There's enough forums dedicated to E-Series Falcons nowdays to have one of those E-Series forums catering to a niche. Trying to accomodate everyone is what fucked the E-Series section on AFF.

see this is not exactly a car newb sort of forum.
as in alot of people go on a forum on a 1 time thing to find out how to replace the headunit with a stock headunit in their ea
where as a majority of people on this forum are more about modding.
it certainly is a different sort of forum.

hey im one of these chicks here and i do get out there and help the guys with there cars and i even change my own tyres when needed. if in the mean time you get dirty/filthy doing it, its pretty easy all you have to do is wash up.yes it may take a chick a bit longer to change a tyre but at least the chick can have the satisfication of saying she done it all by herself.

I feel the same way Kristy.  When i cook something to eat, and then even do the dishes.  I that warm fuzzy feeling called 'satisfaction' of having done it all by myself!  haha
