car dies after half hour of normal driving

Hey I have an 89 Ea and after about half hour the car stops and there is no spark. After about and hour it starts to work again. I have replaced the ecu and the coil but it is still dieing does any one know what is wrong.

yep, old age. sell it and buy a B-Series.

tried swapping the distributor??
tfi modules are known to die like that.(grey retangular block bolted to side of distributor) same with the hall effect sensors located in the dizzy

Yer i will try changing the distributor on the week end and see if it makes a difference. It's not good when you are being followed by a semi and your car dies
