Lowering EL Fairmont

Hey guys,

Just wanted a quick heads-up on lowering my mont. I want it to look good but still legal and practical, so I was thinking superlows or possibly ultra lows.
First of all
- How low can I go before being too low?
- If I lower the car with super / ultra with the current 15's, will 18's fit down the track?
- Are any of the Ebay "King Springs Superlows" any good?

Probably gonna spend about $500, just want to get rid of my body-roll and handle a lot better. If I buy it on Ebay I can fit it all myself, not hard.

Anything else I need to know?

Cheers,
Mark.

They sit differently on every car. Superlows is generally just around the legal level but I have seen people get defected for being too low on superlows.

You will be able to get boge shortened rear shocks for under $100 if you know someone who can get trade prices (would recommend them on a budget). Struts are generally a little more expensive however. Springs I would get second hand if you can as you can usually pick up for under $100 for all 4. Main brand is king springs, however I use Dobinson and would recommend them. Ultima shocks are really cheap on ebay and will do the job but I'm not a fan.

I was illegal on superlows as my exhaust was under 100mm, Ive lowered it another 25mm all around and had no hassle with cops.. been pulled over randomly etc. And you can fit 20's under with ultralows.. as long as they are the right rim width and offset you'll be fine.
