I watched some show/doco on History last night about the end of the World 2012.

Apparently when the Sun aligns with the center of the milkway on dec 21st 2012 we will all die

And the Drought, Tsunami, GFC, and Wars are all leading points to the end of the world.

What do you all think?

I remember reading an asteroid was going to hit Earth in 2000 or 2001 as well, and the side of the planet that the asteroid didnt hit would suffocate from dust... (also heard that the Earth would be thrown out of its orbit from the impact and because we would be too far from the sun, we would freeze ): Sif anyone knows...

There have been prophecies that the world is going to end on various dates during recorded history and none of them have ever been right, this is just another one to add to the list. It is nothing more than interesting.

spiritually or anyother way like that i believe the world will not end, but scientifically is another thing altogether, think about how old this planet is say what 1-2 billion years, then take into consideration how old the sun is, 10 billion maybe more maybe less i really dont know how old it is, but i do know that the sun is a star and an old one at that, and as stars' grow older they grow, and eventually they die, thus our sun being a star will grow in size and die one day leaving us with no heat source or light. creating the end of the world.

i have a book about what nostradamous' phrophecies where and there is numerous ones about the world coming to an end, and they are quite boring to tell the truth, although there was one about the dead will one day walk the earth we all know what that means ZOMBIES, i think that would be the only one tha i'd be half interested in being around for. chainsaw anyone?

This date is interesting because its the singularity. The only time in written history where so many religions agree on one event.
The belief is that he will return and judge if we have lived as dictated by the creator.
Unfortunately I spoke to unega wohali and he said ya failed, so live up the next 3 years as after that, the world is goin to shite.

earth and sun are both approx 4.5 billion years old. and they reckon its got another 5 billion left in it. also universe is between 13.5 and 14 billion years old. all those numbers are quite incomprehensible really, arent they?

its quite amazing that the universe 'begun' about 14 billion years ago and all life, everything to have ever lived as far as we know has lived in the last 0.65 billion years. a long time i know but quite a while after the universe began. and humans have only been around for 00.000012 billion years. (or 120 thousand)

The Mayan calander theory is definitely interesting and judging from what I have read about it on the great source that is the internet there are alot of believers that think both ways about 24/12/2012...both the spiritual change and the apocalypse
but really, anyone who is that fanatical about something so morbid just ends up sounding like a crackpot...and especially when they list achievements in their career as being ghost mediums and UFO chasers

Qoran says world doesnt end for another couple of hundred years and its just the time of tribulation coming up.

Unega wohali had a vision which said that is a safe place. 32 thousand years ago, when man still lived by the rules of the creator, ubir rock was a cultural hub for primative man. The centre of the eclipse will pass directly over this place.... that and there is going to be an eclipse party and its the best spot to see it.
